Is BigLaw Untouched by Historically Bad Bar Exam Results?

Recently, we've seen some of the lowest bar exam pass rates in history. Top law firms say their hiring programs aren't impacted since elite law firms fish in a pool of elite pool of law school students. Natalie Kitroeff of Bloomberg Businessweek notes there actually have been effects. Am Law 100 and Am Law 200 law firms are now looking to hire students in the spring of their first year of law school, because there may be more competition for those top students. The bigger effect, however, is that the "culture of what it means to be a lawyer" may be changing.
