As a former practicing attorney and former law school career counselor for alumni (such as general counsels, executive and executive-track lawyers, and law firm partners at Fortune 100 companies and Am Law 100 law firms), she has guided lawyers in all phases of their legal careers, from general counsel, executive-level attorneys, and law firm partners, to law firm attorneys transitioning in-house or to other environments.
She holds a JD from Cardozo Law and earned her BA with honors from Rutgers University. After serving as a law clerk in the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Jessica began a career in civil litigation at law firms in New Jersey and New York, representing international corporate clients. As an attorney at an AmLaw 200 firm, she coordinated litigation across multiple offices for a major client (Siemens AG). Additionally, Jessica trained attorneys in representation of clients in litigation. Jessica also worked on class-action securities litigations while at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossman, a leading law firm for institutional investors.
Following her work as an attorney, Jessica served as a Leadership Fellow in New York City’s largest charter school network, Success Academy. She also served as an Associate Director of Career Services at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan, where she was the sole advisor of alumni (mostly executive and executive-track) and led the school’s judicial clerkship program. As a result of counseling in a law school setting, Jessica has in-depth knowledge regarding application strategy for judicial clerkships, as well as for experienced lawyers seeking judicial clerkships and for lawyers completing their clerkships. She has also advised foreign attorneys enrolled in JD and LLM programs as they look to enter the U.S. market.
A first-generation lawyer with both legal and non-legal career experience, Jessica can help lawyers think through both traditional legal roles, as well as non-traditional roles or career changes. She also earned her Certified Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW) designation.

Background in Law and Legal Hiring
Jessica graduated with her JD from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law after graduating with her BA, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University. While in law school, Jessica served as a Senior Notes Editor and was published in Cardozo Law’s Journal of Conflict Resolution. As a Notes Editor, she guided students in the note-writing process, providing feedback on research, writing, and editing, successfully guiding many student-advisees to publication. She also served as President of the Women Law Students Association, and completed internships with the Superior Court of New Jersey, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and the Center for Family Representation.
Upon graduation from law school, she clerked in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, where she conducted intensive legal research, prepared memoranda, and drafted opinions on appellate issues in civil, criminal, and family law matters. Following her clerkship, Jessica represented corporate clients as an associate attorney with law firms in New York and New Jersey. She appeared in court on behalf of clients and conducted hundreds of depositions. Jessica represented clients in a broad range of insurance defense cases, including matters involving toxic torts and premises liability issues. While at an AmLaw 200 firm in Manhattan, Jessica was selected to coordinate the firm’s multistate representation of a major client. She also guided new attorneys on representation of clients and defense strategy, including training on conducting and defending depositions.
Jessica pursued an alternative career path following her litigation work, joining Success Academy Charter School Network as a Leadership Fellow. In addition to instructing students in math, literacy, and science, Jessica provided support to recent college graduates beginning their teaching careers, providing coaching on professionalism.
Following her leadership work at Success Academy, Jessica returned to her alma mater, Cardozo Law School, as an Associate Director of Career Services. She counseled first, second, and third-year law students, as well as LLM candidates, on all aspects of career development and job search strategy, including resume and cover letter review, identifying practice areas of interest, securing internships and post-graduate jobs, networking, OCI strategy, interview preparation, and professionalism. Additionally, Jessica led the school’s clerkship program. She prepared a clerkship application manual and streamlined procedures for students and alumni seeking state and federal clerkships across the country, resulting in an increase in secured clerkship positions. She also served as the Office of Career Services’ sole advisor of alumni, advising a diverse range of attorneys, including general counsels, executive and executive-track lawyers, law firm partners, mid-level attorneys, junior attorneys, and recent graduates.
