Ideally, you researched the employer before you sent in your legal resume. So consider this 30 minutes the refresher before your job interview for that perfect law firm associate or corporate counsel position. Don't underestimate how important that preparation is. In talking to hiring attorneys and legal recruiters, I continue to hear that failure to prepare is common. A lawyer can quickly distinguish herself from her competition simply by taking time – whether 30 minutes or a weekend – to learn about the employer, the industry, and the role. The more you know, the better you can answer and ask questions at your job interview.
