Visit the Posse List for a lively selection of readers' comments on the U.S. Department of Labor's proposed new rule on overtime pay and United Contract Attorneys move to get contract attorneys included under it. While there are wide-spread concerns about the treatment of contract attorneys (especially those performing the critical but much derided task of document review), there are also wide-spread concerns that the results of Lola v. Skadden (in which a contract attorney argued that doc review does not constitute the practice of law) and inclusion under overtime rules movements will be fewer opportunities for lawyers who depend upon e-discovery projects for a living.

Definitely worth reading through -- for contract attorneys and for those who employ them.
