Corporate Legal Spend Goes Up, But the Money Doesn't Go to Law Firms

HBR Consulting, the business operations and technology consulting firm formerly known as Hildebrandt Baker Robbins, recounted conducted it's annual HBR Law Department Survey. The 2105 survey involved 308 participants from 22 industries and is designed to assess and benchmark corporate law department performance in both the U.S. and abroad. 

This year's studied showed corporate legal spend increasing by 2% (compared to last year's 2% decrease), which companies aggressively managing legal costs, particularly costs associated with outside counsel.
